Pops Snowblows

This is my dad. This is not his driveway.

The above photo shows my dad snowblowing the side yard of my parents' house. Sure, it's no driveway, but it's something. When's the last time you snowblowed anything? Yeah, that's what I thought...

Anyways, the snowblower is kept in a shed in the sideyard, so my Dad snowblows:
1) a path from the rear deck to the fenced in dog area
2) a path from the rear deck to the shed
3) a path from the rear deck to the driveway
4) the driveway
5) the neighbors' driveways (sometimes)

Cambridge Construction!

My uncle Bert had been taking photos of Sara and Gabi's house being constructed and I stitched them together this week at 12 fps - time lapse style. There is also a post showing a time lapse of the demolition of the house here.

First Christmas Tree

Our First Actual Christmas Tree

Bea and I picked out a tree (pre-cut) this evening and decorated it. We're both very excited to have our very own Christmas tree. Getting a tree on December 1st seems a little early for me because my family has been getting our trees a few days before Christmas for the past couple years. Since we setup ours so early, we can enjoy it for the whole month and then go to our parents' and enjoy those trees too.

We don't have too many ornaments yet. I spent the past two evenings or so sewing up some popcorn to string around the tree, and tonight we made a bunch of paper snowflakes for decorations. They compliment the white popcorn and white lights nicely. We are going to start buying an ornament each year so we can start a "family-unit" (ask my mom for a definition) collection.

Point(s) of Interest:
* Our tree stand came from Goodwill
* Our tree stand is completely made of metal
* Our tree is probably from the 70's
* Our tree stand only cost $3
* Our tree stand does not hold the tree up very well
