Snowshoeing

Bea and I tried out our new snowshoes that we received for Christmas today at Pisgah State Park.


The snowshoes worked well, but for most of the path we didn't really need them because the snow was packed down pretty firmly due to the fact that a lot of snowmobilers use the trails, too.

I exercised my civic duty and democratic right at the same time!
Somebody once told me, "In New Hampshire we're the pickers, and in Iowa they're the corn pickers."

So that's that. I was a little disappointed because they weren't giving people "I Voted" stickers, so now I just have to go around telling everyone to make sure they know.

The rest of the evening will be spent eating chili, drinking beer, and listening to NHPR as the votes tally up.
