Stolen Stereo

Some things about people breaking windows to steal stereos:

• the retail value of this stereo was less than $175 five years ago
• better stereos retail for less than $100 now
• I'd guess a pawn shop to buy it for somewhere around $20
• having a trash bag taped over the missing window makes for a COLD 2 hour drive
• having a trash bag taped over the missing window makes for a LOUD 2 hour drive
• four way intersections are a pain when you can't look right
• uninsured window replacement cost would be around $200
• sometimes your wife listens to books on CD from the library in the car, explain that one to the librarian

Yeah, so they only took the stereo, so it could have been worse. They left Bea's backpack and stuff in there. If they had taken that she would be screwed because it had all her Master's Degree business in there. They also left a bag of potatoes, the book on CDs (except for the one in the stereo), jumper cables, and 22oz bottle of Smuttynose, nice.
